You generated long list of names (for "The Course of Some Kind")

Today...

We go to the polls!

My side of the glass

Hi. I'm Gary. I’m the guy on the other side of the glass.

I’m on one side of the glass. And you’re on the other.

But Back in Episode 84 - this is Episode 89 - I invited you to join me on a “Lean Startup” experiment.

I invited you join me… on my side of the glass.

I invited you to think, not as a viewer, but as someone producing something for a viewer.

A viewer that’s a lot like you. But not you.

What I’m trying to say is that what I asked you to do was not straightforward. Things could have unravelled quickly.

But you’ve been brilliant.

There have been fantastic comments at every step along the road. And at every step the comments have influenced the next step.

Never more so than last week’s episode.

Big list of names

Last time, I asked to come up with names for the “Course of Some Kind”.

THANK YOU to everyone that took the time to submit an idea - I knew you would be better at naming stuff than me!

Our next step is to whittle down the list to 3 or 4 candidates.

I’ve taken the ideas and have done my best to stick them into this...what would you call it?

I suppose it’s… not dissimilar to… along the lines of... A SURVEY.

Remember the discussion about Validated Learning? The idea that customers… just can't be trusted: they have a bad habit of saying one thing… and doing another.

Asking a customer her opinion isn’t going to provide the level of certainty we require. Which is why I declared out “Lean Startup Journey” a SURVEY FREE ZONE.

But there’s an important distinction here: she’s on the other side of the glass from me.

Remember: you’re on my side of the glass. You’re on my team.

A little survey among teammates: where’s the harm in that?

The Poll

I’ve done my best to extract the title ideas into a nice long list. And now I’d like to enlist your help once to rank them. Here’s what I’d like you to do.

In the description below you’ll find a link to a survey. Scan down the list and click any that you like the sound of.

(I’ll leave it up to you if want to pick just one, or a handful.)

When you’re happy, click the Submit button.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Next steps

Once we’ve whittled the list down to a handful of candidates, we will be ready to set to work. To run the experiment.
